What is image hosting
Image hosting is a
way for you to manage your own picture files on our server so that
they can be read by anyone on the internet. One excellent use of
this capability is adding pictures to your online auctions.
Why
don't I just use eBay's image hosting?
eBay provides the first image free, but
then will charge you $.15 for each additional image you include. If
you are using three images that is an additional $.30 you are paying
just to list a few extra images. On top of this, eBay will compress
your image in size and quality and many times the details of the
image are not even viewable after this.

Do you resize
my pictures and make them smaller or lower the quality?
FotoHost.com does not change your images in any way. The image you
upload is the image that will be included in your eBay auctions,
this means you will always have good quality images in your
auctions. While viewing your images using our advanced control
panel your images may look distorted, just click on the image and a
new window will open with your actual image.

of image table. Remember this action cannot Undo! Top
My image space is full, what should I do
You have two options. The first is to delete files in
your image library, this will free up space which will allow you to
upload more images. The second is to upgrade your
account. Go to 'Upgrade Package' this will allow you to
upgrade your account to allow for more space and more images to be
uploaded.Top
How to reduce my image file size but keep
still clear
There is no reason for bidder or visitor to wait a long time to
display an image. The larger the image size is, the longer it takes
to show in your auction. A fast-download but still clear image
is very import to attract and keep your customer.Top
Here are some tips for reducing your image file
size:
1. Keep reducing jpg image compression to an acceptable result. (80
normally)
2. Keep reducing gif image color quantity to an acceptable result.
(64 normally)
Do you host adult images
We do NOT host any type of adult or child pornography.
Top
Our image administrator checks the images daily
for content. Any adult image found will be removed immediately
without notification to the user. Top
Do you offer FTP or just browser based uploading
FotoHost.com does offer FTP image uploading.
Although the majority of our users prefer browser based uploading due to it's
simplicity and ease of use, some auction software users need to have
FTP access to upload pictures..
